Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East)
Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East) is located at: 1 Pasir Ris Close, Singapore 519599.
Tel: 65891865 Fax: 65829535
Located in the eastern part of the island, Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East) is the popular choice holiday destination for Singaporeans. It is a favourite resort getaway closer to home. Over the years, more facilities have been added to make the resort stay more comfortable. To start with, guests can self check-in through the kiosks in the lobby and breeze passes the queues at the counter. There are more than 300 BBQ pits in the Resort, making us the most number of BBQ pits consolidated in a single location. There is a DVD player in every room; and there are pro-family rooms available upon requests (subject to availability).
The elevated five-lane 50 metre swimming pool and children's pool, a first in Singapore with its side and bottom see through panels allow resort guests to wave to their family members when having fun swimming. Visitors are also spoilt for choice at the adjacent Downtown East - a food paradise offering more than 40 food and beverage and entertainment outlets ranging from a food court, fast food joints, and specialty restaurants to alfresco dining. With our new addition – E!hub, besides more food choices, there is a cinema, bowling centre and indoor children playground – eXplorerkid. Another first of its kind in Singapore, our very own 25m tall indoor Ferris wheel. Non-stop fun greets every visitor to the resort with a string of exciting events and activities held at the D'Marquee in Downtown East. ESCAPE Theme Park, Singapore's first world-class theme park, which features 14 rides and 1 walk-through attraction, "Haunted 2" (opening end of Oct 08) is only a stone throw away.
Wild Wild Wet is the largest water theme park in Singapore. The key attraction among the park's rides is the Ular-lah, the first raft slide in South East Asia. Each raft seats six people and you can expect high banked corners and 360 degree spins as you race to the finish line. Other rides include the Slide Up, a 11m high valley-shaped slide and The Waterworks, consisting of one open and one closed slide. For the less adventurous, there are rides like Tsunami Wave Pool or Shiok River.
Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East) is also available for corporate and social retreats. To make every stay comfortable, the resort has 360 fully air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms, twin beds, televisions with DVD players, refrigerators and warm water flasks.
The resort offers a free two-way shuttle bus service to the Pasir Ris MRT station.
Family-friendly amenities: The elevated swimming pool is accessible via a wheelchair-friendly elevator. The fitness corner within the Resort allows families to work out together. Temporary make-shift ramps for wheelchair-bound guests, wheelchairs and baby cots are available for loan upon guests’ requests (subject to availability).
